OLI #115 - FUR FUR, VINTAGE FUR

Fur fur, vintage fur. A classic, a family heritage, a story, a physical memory from the past. Yes it is fur and it is real. And what about the animal rights?! What about the visual impact and all the controversy of wearing an actually original fur exemplar?! What about the specimen?! It makes any difference if it is rabbit or an exotic albino Siberian tiger?! Is around 6 to 7 millions of years that we are here! We did evoluted, we did change, we did adapt ourselves to the environment and in order to live in society we keep up changing ourselves by the "rules". A huge variety of differences come along generation after generation, problems and needs they had to be faced. The use of the skin of animals as garment of protection as been with us since the very beginning. Heritage that is still present nowadays. But what did change about the past and now? Starting from answering this question in order to answer the very first ones, what did change and make us change is information. Powerful and strong information. Knowledge! Knowing the process and how thing are build in order to help us, to dress us, to make us warm or simply to feed our egos. The truth is something that break us or make us! Not everyone can handle the truth! Ethical is that code of understanding the difference between 'right' and 'wrong' in applying to understanding their decisions. An invisable line that divide the world in to sides where nowadays the major stand right in the middle. A world that goes from black to white and white back to black, where gray is the most predominant colour. Back in the days after hunting and eating the animals Men would wear the skin of is meal in order to survive against the environment. But today as the society did evolution Men doesn't hunt anymore, but does use all of his meal for his own benefit. In the eyes of some institutions the Ethical code for the use of fur is wrong and for others is right. For me is all about embracing the past and use the power of information and knowledge from the present to create a better future. I say no to new original exemplars of fur but I say yes to the old and vintage exemplars as this one that I'm wearing on this photos. 100 years old this is a vintage exemplare made long time ago, used by multiple generations and the heritage it will continuo. We need to be proud of where we came from, what we were and what we are in order to be even better. by, Oli
Pelo pelo, pelo vintage. Um clássico, uma herança de família, uma história, uma memória física do passado. Sim, é pelo e é real. E os direitos dos animais?! E o impacto visual e toda a controvérsia de usar um exemplar de pele verdadeira?! E a especie?! Faz alguma diferença se é o coelho ou um exótico tigre siberiano albino?! Faz 6 a 7 milhões de anos que estamos aqui! Evoluimos, mudamos e adaptamo-nos ao meio ambiente com a meta de viver em sociedade, Uma enorme variedade de diferenças vêm junto geração após geração, problemas e necessidades que tem de ser enfrentados. O uso de pele de animais como vestuário de protecção é algo que está conosco desde o início. Heritage que ainda está presente hoje em dia. Mas o que se alterou sobre o passado e agora? Em resposta a esta questão, a fim de responder as primeiras, o que mudou e nos faz mudar é a informação. Informação poderosa e forte. Conhecimento! Conhecer o processo e como as coisa são construídas a fim de nos ajudar, de nos vestir, para nos fazer quentes ou simplesmente para alimentar os nossos egos. A verdade é algo que nos destrói ou nos constrói! Nem todos sabem como lidar com a verdade! Ética é o código que nos obriga a compreender a diferença entre "certo" e "errado" na aplicação para a compreensão das minhas, tuas ou nossas decisões. Uma linha invisable que dividem o mundo em que os lados, onde hoje em dia o principal posição é no meio. Um mundo que vai do preto ao branco volta do branco ao preto, onde o cinzento é a cor predominante. Onde antigamente após a caça o Homem no so comia o sua presa como usava a pele da sua refeição como abrigo para sobreviver e lutar contra o meio ambiente. Mas hoje em dia como a evolução da sociedade o Homem não caça mais, mas usa toda a sua refeição para seu próprio benefício. Aos olhos de algumas instituições o código de ética para o uso de peles está errado e para os outros é certo. Para mim é tudo sobre abraçar o passado e usar o poder da informação e do conhecimento do presente para criar um futuro melhor. Eu digo não a novos exemplares originais da pele, mas eu digo que sim aos velhos e antigos exemplares como este que eu estou a usar nas fotos. Com 100 anos de idade este é um exemplare vintage feito há muito tempo a trás, usado por várias gerações sendo uma herança contínua. Precisamos ter orgulho de onde viemos, o que fomos, o que somos agora a a fim de ser ainda melhor. por, Oli
